We want to introduce you to Malala Yousafzai!

Malala Yousafzai is the youngest Nobel Peace Prize winner in history and a women’s- and children’s right activist in Pakistan. Malala was born on the 12th of in 1997 in Mingora, Pakistan and has been writing a blog for the BBC Urdu under the pseudonym „Gul Makai“ since 2008.

In her blog she writes about how the world is collapsing around her, how general culture is banned, how women hardly dare to go out on the streets and how schools are closed.

Her journey because she felt the need to make the tragic conditions in her country public and share it with world.

She has been nominated for several peace awards and has thus revealed her pseudonym. From that moment on, the Taliban started looking for her. On October 9, 2012 the terrorists shot the 15 year old girl in the head. 

Three days after the attack, Malala’s condition was critical, Islamic doctors were unable to help her. Six days later, she was taken to England, where doctors fought over her, everybody wanted to save her. Three months after the attack, the Pakistani activist was stronger than ever. At the age of 17, Malala received the Nobel Peace Prize for numerous works. She also received $ 500,000, which was directly invested in building a new girls‘ school in Pakistan.

Malala managed to fight for the rights of women and girls whose voices would otherwise never been heard.
